Research: Biography

Alex completed his PhD at GMU, and has published results on galaxy collision simulations and on observations of X-ray stellar coronae. Alex worked for the Astro-E and Astro-E2 missions as a programmer and trainer. He worked with XTE Mission's Science Operations Center as their Mission Scheduler from pre-launch, through In-Orbit Checkout, and into the second AO, and also worked as an Experiment Monitor. Prior to this, he worked as the Asca Mission Planner on-site at ISAS in Japan for two and a half years (pre-launch through 2nd AO.) He has a Masters in Astronomy from PSU for his work with CCD instrumentation and with teaching. He has worked as a library aide and in systems analysis.
